The first trailer for 'MaXXXine,' starring Mia Goth, has arrived.

A24's MaXXXine will continue the story presented in 'X' which, in addition to Mia Goth, also features Elizabeth Debicki, Giancarlo Esposito and Kevin Bacon.

For horror fans, the week kicks off on a high note as A24 has just unveiled the long-awaited trailer for MaXXXine. The Ti West-directed film again stars his muse, Mia Goth, and will complete the director's saga that began in 2022 with X. This film will function as its direct sequel and will set its story in the mid-1980s, six years after the farm massacre. This time, we meet Maxxxine Minx trying to make it as an actress in Hollywood, making a substantial leap from adult to mainstream cinema. But as news begins to spread about a brutal serial killer on the loose from real life, the survivor will discover that the past is not done with her.

The trailer presented by A24 is atmospheric and dark, combining elements of both slasher and giallo. The audiovisual also abounds with nods to cinema and genre in particular, such as a scene in which Maxine walks through what appears to be Universal Studios and exchanges glances with Pearl from the window of the iconic Psycho house.

In addition to Goth, the film that will conclude the Ti West horror saga will feature a stellar cast. Among the confirmed stars are actress Elizabeth Debicki (The Crown) who will take on the role of a film director and Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad) who will step into the shoes of an agent specializing in adult films. Michelle Monaghan(Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol) and Bobby Cannavale(Blonde) will play a pair of police officers, while Kevin Bacon(Footloose) will play a private detective.

MaXXXine will hit theaters in the United States on July 5.
