After several months of rumors about the possible return of Big Little Lies, Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon have confirmed that it will continue. Five years after the denouement of its second season, the Hollywood actresses have reunited in an interview for Vanity Fair, where they have talked about this Max's fiction, as well as their beginnings in the industry and other fictions that have marked their careers.
"We're moving ‘fast and furious.’ Liane Moriarty [writer of the novel on which the series is based] is delivering the book. We're in good shape. Now we have to shut up. You should never talk about something until it's done. Talking about it involves a dopamine hit. You feel like you've really done it,” Nicole Kidman confessed about the third season of Big Little Lies.
For her part, Reese doesn't want to move anything forward before it happens. "I don't want to talk about it until I'm with the wardrobe on set. Then I'll confirm that it's happening, because it's really hard to stop it,” she says. However, the American confesses how much fun it was to shoot the first two seasons, especially when she teamed up with Laura Dern.
"They couldn't put Laura Dern and I together. We were like little girls in a class. People were like, 'Are we going to have to separate you? Yes, we're going to separate them so we can work,” laughs Witherspoon. However, we still don't know if other members of the original cast, such as Shailene Woodley, Adam Scott or Zoë Kravitz, will also return.
There are no details about when filming could begin and its possible premiere, so for now we have to wait for more news about the future of the series.
