U.S. television network Starz announced that the second half of the seventh season of the popular historical drama series Outlander will premiere on Friday, November 22, 2023. The announcement was part of the “World Outlander Day” last Saturday. New episodes will be available weekly on Fridays at midnight (ET) on the Starz app and on all Starz streaming and on-demand platforms, prior to its linear premiere at 8 p.m. (ET) in the U.S. and Canada.
The official description of the remaining episodes indicates that viewers will find Claire Balfe, Sam Heughan and Ian Bell, playing Claire, Jamie and Young Ian, respectively, leaving the colonies and arriving in their beloved homeland of Scotland. The dangers of the Revolutionary War will force them to choose between supporting those they love and fighting for the land they have made their new home.
Meanwhile, Richard Rankin and Sophie Skelton, as Roger and Brianna, will face new enemies across time and must fight the forces that threaten to tear their family apart. As loyalties shift and painful secrets come to light, Jamie and Claire's marriage must face tough tests like never before. As for the 1980s plot, Roger and Buck, played by Diarmaid Murtagh, will decide to travel through the stones in search of Jem, played by Blake Johnston-Miller, who has been kidnapped by Rob Cameron, played by Chris Fulton, while Bree is left worrying about her family split across time.
Although the series finale is approaching, an Outlander prequel titled Outlander: Blood of My Blood is also in production in Scotland. This series will focus on the lives of Jamie and Claire's parents. The main cast includes Jamie Roy, Harriet Slater, Jeremy Irvine and Hermione Corfield.
