James Gunn has posted on Instagram the official logo for the 'Superman' movie starring David Corenswet. With the first official image of the suit and leaks from the Cleveland shoot, fans had already more or less seen the emblem, though now we get to see it in great detail. The release has made it just a year before its premiere, which will be on July 11, 2025. This is how Gunn details it in his post, where he points out that in one year the new DC's Superman will hit theaters: "In exactly one year #Superman opens worldwide".
The "S" on Superman's chest is a symbol that represents hope, just what fans will need to hold on until next summer and enjoy David Corenswet as Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. Maria Gabriela de Faria, Nathan Fillion, Sean Gunn and Skyler Gisondo, among many others, complete the cast.
A few weeks ago, countless scenes were leaked from the filming of 'Superman' in Cleveland. However, the first ones were in Svalbard, Norway. The media outlet Svalbardposten was able to ask James Gunn about the choice of location and he revealed that they needed a frigid location to recreate the mythical Fortress of Solitude, Superman's secret Arctic headquarters. "We've shot the first scenes [in Svalbard], which show Superman fleeing to the Fortress of Solitude," announces the director. The more specific reasons for choosing Svalbard were the diversity of the place. Gunn wanted to feel like he was in the middle of the Arctic, but also not a desert of ice and snow: "We wanted a place that was beautiful and that made us feel like we were in the middle of the Arctic."
