As part of the San Diego Comic-Con, a new teaser has been revealed that offers another glimpse of this new installment. This teaser not only highlights the technical advancement in animation, but also the emotional and narrative depth that promises to further enrich the Transformers universe.
The recent trailer features an exciting race during the Cybertron Olympics, offering an in-depth look at life on the planet. Orion Pax, who will later become Optimus Prime, is eager to participate in the competition, while D-16, who will become Megatron, shows disinterest. The clip continues with several action sequences, suggesting how the friendship between the characters transforms into an irreversible enmity.
Josh Cooley, the filmmaker behind Toy Story 4 and the Inside Out short film titled Riley's First Date, is the director of this project. Regarding the trailer, the filmmaker expressed that there is a lot we haven't seen yet in the previews. In his words, “But there are real stakes that we're not showing in the trailer yet, that have the epic scale, adventure and action that we know from the Transformers movies.”
