Sweethearts: First look and Release date on Max!

Sweethearts, MAX's approaching film is set to tug at heartstrings this Thanksgiving with a fun and touching story. The romantic drama revolves around a couple navigating a painful breakup just as the holiday season approaches. Specifically, two college freshmen mates make a pact to end their respective relationships before Thanksgiving. The logic is straightforward: both of them want to fully immerse themselves in college life, and having a long-distance relationship could hinder that. In short, this decisions lead them on a chaotic night with quite a few turns as everything points to be one of those best friends to lover stories that fans adore.

Today, the streamer gave us a first sneak peek of the led actors in the movie. Sweethearts is a welcome addition to Max's growing library of romantic comedies. The streaming platform has already established itself as a home for quality comedies, with recent hits like Hacks (just renewed for Season 4) and the critically acclaimed The Rehearsal and How To With John Wilson. Shipka's star continues to rise, with Sweethearts marking another successful project after the well-received Longlegs and Twisters.

Max Minghella joins 'Industry' season 4

The film is in charge of writer and producer, Jordan Weiss, known for her work on Hulu's Dollface. Sweethearts promises a poignant exploration of love, loss, and a fresh point young love and human relationships in short. Kiernan Shipka, who has garnered critical acclaim for her role in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, takes on a more mature role in this heartfelt project beside Nico Hiraga (North Hollywood).
