Production has begun on the Bruce Springsteen biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere, and the first look at Jeremy Allen White in the title role has been released. Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart, Hostiles) is directing and writing Deliver Me From Nowhere, an adaptation of Warren Zanes' book about the making of Bruce Springsteen's 1982 album Nebraska. Filming is currently taking place in New Jersey, New York, and Los Angeles, with a theatrical release planned for next year. Springsteen recorded his 1982 album Nebraska on a 4-track recorder in his New Jersey bedroom, creating a landmark in his musical career. This raw, acoustic record, devoid of The E Street Band, explores themes of lost souls and the search for meaning. It was not until decades later that Springsteen openly discussed the personal significance of this pivotal moment in his life. In short, Nebraska continues to inspire generations of artists and musicians.
Beyond Jeremy Allen White, the cast includes Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s father, Paul Walter Hauser as guitar tech Mike Batlan, and Odessa Young, rumored to play a love interest. Jeremy Strong is also reportedly in talks to portray Jon Landau, Springsteen’s longtime manager. So far, Jeremy Allen White has gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Carmy Berzatto in the critically acclaimed FX series The Bear. This role has earned him a Golden Globe Award and a Emmy for Best Actor on Television Series Musical/Comedy. Beyond his work on The Bear, White has also appeared in notable films such as Fremont and The Iron Claw. Aditionally, his performance in Fremont received positive reviews, and his role in The Iron Claw as Kerry Von Erich garnered attention for his intense portrayal of the wrestler.
