Fans of Nobody Wants This were expecting this news just passed a few episodes of the newest Netflix's series. Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, best known for their work on Girls, are getting on board to serve as showrunners for the second installment. According to Netflix, Konner and Kaplan have spent the past few weeks working with a team of writers on the plot for the second season. In addition, the entire cast is returning for season two, though plot details remain under wraps. The series is likely to comeback in 2025.
Much of the success of Nobody Wants This is due to its inspiration from the love story of its creator, Erin Foster, and her husband, Simon Tikham. "This show is based on the only good decision I've ever made: falling in love with a good Jewish guy," Foster told Netflix's Tudum. Moreover, they add “I’m so lucky to be able to continue this story,” said Foster, “and to do it alongside Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, who I’ve been such a fan of since Girls. … Justice for healthy relationships being the most romantic!” In Season 1, Noah and Joanne quickly fell head over heels, but their different religious backgrounds presented a significant challenge. Joanne was not sure about converting, and their relationship was in a dangerous spot. However, Noah's romantic gesture in the parking lot proved that they were indeed, not ready to give up on each other.
