Rachel McAdams might be in Sam Raimi's new scary movie, Send Help. Raimi is making and directing the movie for 20th Century Studios. The horror-thriller Send Help is a two-hander set on an island. Director describes it as a mix of Misery and Castaway. The movie is based on a script by the writers of Baywatch. Zainab Azizi is also producing it, and it will be shown in theaters. The actress from The Notebook is in current talks to negotiate her participation on the project, according to Deadline.
The Oscar-nominated Rachel McAdams consolidates herself as one of the most prolific actors of her generation, evolving into different genres. Her globally known credits include Mean Girls, The Notebook, About Time, Disobedience, Spotlight. More recently, we could see her on Game Night and Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret. She previously collaborated with Raimi on Doctor Strange 2. She most recently appeared on FX’s Dave as herself.
Aditionally, Raimi created the epic Evil Dead movie franchise. Last spring, Evil Dead Rise, the newest installment, made over $147 million worldwide. Also, the upcoming installment, untitled Evil Dead movies are currently in the works by directors Francis Galluppi and Sébastien Vaniček, along with Raimi and Robert Tapert's Ghost House Pictures. Apparently, production is gearing up to start in January before Raimi and Rachel McAdams return to the MCU for Doctor Strange 3. On the flip side, negotiations are barely starting, but nothing is certain yet. This news comes after Deadline reported in July that Raimi was going to be involved in the project, even though the studio had not officially approved it. There is no further information about other members of the cast.
