Universal Pictures has finally released the full trailer for Wolf Man, the highly anticipated horror film that promises to revive the legend of the werewolf on the big screen. With a promising cast and a suspense-filled atmosphere, this new look at the film has left fans eager for its release. Drawing inspiration from the 1941 horror classic, the filmmakers have crafted a contemporary reimagining of the story, following in the footsteps of their successful adaptation of The Invisible Man featuring Elisabeth Moss. Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner headline the cast of this new take, as Variety reports. Sam Jaeger, Ben Prendergast, and Benedict Hardie round out the cast, as well as Matilda Firth and Milo Cawthorne. Whannell co-wrote the script with Corbett Tuck, Lauren Schuker Blum, and Rebecca Angelo. Ryan Gosling, who was originally going to star the project, remains on board as a producer.
The story follows Blake, a San Francisco husband and father who inherits his childhood home in rural Oregon after his father's disappearance. With his marriage on the rocks, he persuades his wife to take a break from the city and visit the property with their young daughter, Ginger. In the trailer of Wolf Man, the family arrives at the farm late one night, they are attacked by an unseen creature and must barricade themselves inside the house as it prowls outside. However, as the night wears on, Blake begins to exhibit strange behavior, transforming into something unrecognizable. Charlotte must now decide if the terror within her own home poses a greater threat than the danger lurking outside. Many are expecting this adaptation of the horror classic. Lastly, Wolf Man opens in theaters globally on January 17th.
