Actress Helen Flanagan continues navigating the challenging co-parenting dynamic with her ex-fiancé, footballer Scott Sinclair, three years after their split.
Helen remains candid about the difficulties she faces, recently admitting that the arrangement feels "really rubbish" as the distance between their homes complicates the sharing schedule for their three children.
The former Coronation Street star confessed that she struggles when her children spend time away with their father.
She told an interviewer, "I have to co-parent, which is really rubbish. I don’t think anyone enjoys it, well I definitely don’t."
Helen explained the geographical challenge, stating, "My children's father, Scott, lives in Bath and I live very north of Manchester so it's not like we can co-parent like when you're in the same city. We take it in turns."
Helen recently shared with fans that she felt "lost" without her kids during a holiday break, despite attempting to stay productive.
The distance between the parents means they must take turns having the children for extended periods, a situation Helen has called "unnatural" when she misses them, particularly around festive holidays.
The actress has also previously given insight into the volatile nature of her relationship with Scott.
Helen revealed in a past interview that the ex-partner once blocked her contact after a particularly fiery argument, admitting they often "do each other's f***ing head in."
Despite the tension, Helen insists they prioritize their children and make efforts to ensure the kids spend time with both parents.
