Gregg Wallace is reportedly planning to start a new life in Italy following his dismissal from MasterChef.
Sources close to the 61-year-old former presenter say he is looking at moving to his wife Anne-Marie’s native country to escape the ongoing controversy in the UK.
Gregg currently lives in Kent with Anne-Marie, their son Sid, and his mother-in-law.
He believes his new online ventures, including health coaching and paid video messages on Cameo, will provide enough income to support a life abroad.
The move comes as Gregg continues a legal battle against the BBC. He is suing the corporation to gain access to unredacted copies of his personal data.
Gregg claims that these documents will prove his innocence and help him recover millions in lost earnings.
His lawyers have described his sacking as a "terrible injustice," noting that internal investigations reportedly found no evidence of sexual harassment, bullying, or other serious misconduct.
However, the BBC upheld over 40 allegations regarding his behavior before dropping him from the hit cooking show.
Gregg has attributed some of his past behavior to his autism diagnosis, which he made public in 2025.
He explained that his "off-color" jokes and social blunders occurred because he often struggles to understand what is appropriate in social settings.
He has accused the BBC of failing to provide adequate support for his condition during his time on the show.
In response, the BBC has filed a defense against his £10,000 damages claim, stating that the former star is not entitled to compensation.
Despite the legal turmoil, Gregg has expressed a deep love for Italy in previous interviews, calling the entire country a "fantastic restaurant."
He has long stated his intention to retire there, citing its history, style, and simple food as major draws.
As the investigation into his conduct continues and the lawsuits proceed through the High Court, a move to Italy would represent a significant new chapter for the man once known as one of the most recognizable faces in British television.
