Beloved Coronation Street star Beverley Callard updated her fans on Thursday, June 11, 2026, regarding her ongoing medical treatment.
The 69-year-old actress recently received a breast cancer diagnosis and has regularly shared details about her recovery journey on social media.
Her latest update addressed a scare involving persistent leg pain and outlined the next steps for her cancer therapy.
Beverley recently experienced continuous discomfort behind her knee, causing her to worry about a potential blood clot.
She visited the hospital for a thorough evaluation to find the root cause of the issue. Doctors performed a blood test, an ultrasound, and several other medical checks before ruling out a dangerous clot.
Instead, the medical team discovered a cyst at the back of her knee.
Beverley expressed immense relief on her Instagram account, noting that while she felt panicked the day before, she is doing completely fine now.
She reassured her followers that these types of cysts are actually quite common.
Immediately following her appointment for her leg, Beverley met with her radiotherapist at St. Luke's hospital to formalize her breast cancer treatment.
She revealed that her upcoming schedule involves 10 days of radiotherapy in total. The doctors structured the plan into five consecutive days of therapy, followed by a weekend break, and then a final five days of treatment.
Although the exact start date remains unconfirmed, the hospital will soon send her an appointment for a body scan to complete the required mapping process.
Beverley confirmed that she feels well enough to continue working while she waits for the therapy sessions to officially begin.
