Jeremy McConnell has suffered a broken nose, a shattered eye socket and concussion following his blazing row with his on/off girlfriend Stephanie Davis last week.
The 28-year-old reality TV star was taken to hospital in Dublin, Ireland, on Tuesday (04.07.17) night - shortly after he touched back down in his hometown - and has been told he needs to take things easy after he was allegedly assaulted by the former "Hollyoaks" actress at the Royal Chace Hotel in Enfield, North London, on July 2.
Speaking to The Sun Online, a source said: "Jeremy's face is pretty messed up, the swelling is still quite bad around his eyes and his nose. He's been checked out by doctors who told him his nose is broken and one of his eye sockets has a fracture.
"Although Jeremy was suffering with concussion he just wanted to come home so he's in Ireland and is spending time with his friends trying to get his head around what happened."
Stephanie was arrested on suspicion of Grievously Bodily Harm (GBH) but was rushed to hospital herself shortly after she was taken into police custody because she fell unwell.
The 24-year-old star reportedly sustained five broken ribs during the scuffle with her beau and has now been released on bail until late July while police continue with their enquiries.
It's not known how the alleged fight started but eye witnesses have claimed that the pair - who have five-month-old son Caben-Albi together - had been drinking alcohol all day at a nearby Wetherspoons when things turned sour and, ultimately, physical between them.
Black cab driver Roger Osborn said: "I got here at about 9pm and they were already here and they had had plenty of drink. It looked like he was bullying her and she was shouting at him as well.
"At one point he had a go at us and started swearing at some of the other customers. We didn't get involved. We just wanted to come down to our local and have a drink and we didn't want any trouble. He was being aggressive but she was giving it back as well. They were both pretty drunk and they were as bad as each other."
