The new series of "Celebrity Big Brother" will launch live on January 2 2018.
After it was announced on Monday (04.12.17) that the forthcoming series of the Channel 5 reality show will see an all-female cast head into the iconic house in commemoration of 100 years since women won the right to vote for the very first time, bosses have now revealed the programme will hit screens once again in just under a month's time, with a live launch on January 2.
As well as announcing the launch date, the programme has also revealed the design of the iconic eye logo, which this year features a black and white female eye complete with eyeliner and mascara, as well as a multicoloured iris.
In their previous announcement, bosses revealed the series will also include male contestants who will enter the house in the second week, giving the female stars - whose identities have not yet been revealed, but will range from politicians to performing artists - a full week to interact with one another in honour of the historical milestone.
A statement from Channel 5 said: "Presented by Emma Willis, "Celebrity Big Brother" will initially explore how the all-female housemates interact, from politicians to performing artists, as they enter the house first, ahead of the celebrity male housemates. Over the course of the series, as the male counterparts enter the house, the housemates will take part in a series of entertaining tasks and hidden experiments which will test their - and our - assumptions, challenge gender stereotypes and reveal fascinating truths about what it is to be a woman - and man - in the 21st century."
The return of "Celebrity Big Brother" will also be accompanied by spin-off show "Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On the Side", which is hosted by Rylan Clark-Neal.
"Celebrity Big Brother" will launch live on Channel 5 at 9pm on Tuesday, January 2 2018.
