Jorgie Porter found "Hollyoaks" "scarier" than "Celebrity Haunted Mansion".
The 30-year-old actress recently took part in the spooky W Channel show, which saw stars sleepover in a terrifying mansion, and she admitted it was more frightening stepping foot in the Cheshire village on her first day than staying at the daunting abode surrounded by ghouls and ghosts galore.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Being on "Celebrity Haunted Mansion" I didn't have to know a script or anything, that's quite good actually, so my first day on "Hollyoaks" was probably scarier.
"It's your first day and it's the scariest thing ever, but with this I think whatever happens, happens."
Jorgie portrayed Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap from 2008 to 2016 and some of her former on-set feelings were recalled recently when she entered the massive mansion because she experienced the "same nerves" as she used to feel on set.
She added: "When you hear all the creepy stories I was getting adrenaline in my chest and I couldn't control it, so it's probably the same nerves as "Hollyoaks".
"And there were certain things I had to do on my own and I thought, "No! Don't let me do that on my own." "
Jorgie recently admitted she would love to return to "Hollyoaks" one day and thinks it would be great if Theresa headed back to the village as a grandmother with 20 children.
She said: "I obviously love "Hollyoaks", I'd never say never about returning in the future but I enjoy doing certain other things at the minute.
"I just like to experience other things. Because once you're in a soap, you're there. You're in a bubble.
"So as much as I love it, I like to space out a little bit.
"I'd love to go back one day, maybe as a grandma with 20 kids."
