Sue Perkins will host the TV BAFTAs for the second consecutive year.

The former "Great British Bake Off" co-presenter will front the prestigious Virgin TV British Academy Television Awards ceremony at London's Royal Festival Hall on May 13, and she is "thrilled" to have been invited back to take the reins again.

She said: "I had an absolute blast hosting last year's awards and I am genuinely thrilled to be invited back.

"It's a real pleasure to be the master of ceremonies once more, as we celebrate the very best in British television."

Sue was invited back to host this year's ceremony after impressing TV BAFTA bosses with her "warmth and humour".

"She is much-loved by our BBC viewers and I'm sure that she will once again provide us with a wonderfully entertaining evening."

It looks set to be a busy year for Sue, who will co-host two special episodes of "The Generation Game" this Easter alongside comedy partner Mel Giedroyc.

The pair co-presented "The Great British Bake Off" from 2010 to 2016.

Nominations for this year's TV BAFTAs will be revealed on April 4th.
