Lucy Mecklenburgh thinks her new-found maturity is reflected in her appearance.
The former "Only Way Is Essex" star has transformed her style and approach to beauty over recent years, adopting more of a more refined look, and Lucy has claimed the progression shows how she's grown up.
Asked whether her approach to beauty has changed over the years, she shared: "Definitely! I think it is part of growing up.
"The amount of times my mum used to pin me down and take all of my make-up off when I was trying to run out the door for school!
"I've learned that less is more. As you get older, your look gets more natural and you get less high maintenance."
Lucy revealed that there are a number of secrets to her enviable good looks.
The former reality star told OK! magazine: "Exfoliating is really important and taking your make-up off - if I fall asleep with my make-up on, my skin really suffers. Also hydration; drinking lots of water is so important."
Lucy, 26, has more than one million followers on Instagram, but has admitted she has mixed feelings in regards to the airbrushing of her pictures.
The brunette beauty admitted she's happy to have "minimal editing" done to her photos, but insisted she always wants her "body proportions" to remain untouched.
Lucy said: "When you've got a lot of people looking up to you, you have to be a bit careful.
"When I do photoshoots, I ask for minimal editing, but I understand if there's a spot on my cheek, you've got to get rid of it.
"With my body proportions, I always ask them to leave them the way they are. I've had it before where they actually airbrushed my abs out - I was like, I work so hard for them!"
