Helene Maksoud is set for a guest role on "Coronation Street".
The Hollywood star - who has appeared on the big screen in the likes of "The Dark Knight" and "Hellboy" - is heading for the Weatherfield cobbles and it's said she's already been on set in Manchester filming for the long running soap.
An insider told the Daily Star newspaper: "Helene has been a pleasure to have at the studios. She will play a part in one of our ongoing stories."
Helene's agency The Narrow Road Co. added on Twitter: "Excited to see @helsmaksoud in upcoming episodes of @itvcorrie. She has had a busy few weeks filming for an episodic lead."
She is just the latest guest star to be attached to the soap, after new boss Iain MacLeod also recruited comic Stephen Bailey, Hollywood actor Adam Fogerty and former "EastEnders" star Janet Dibley.
Meanwhile, "Corrie" fans were delighted this week to find out that Nicola Thorp will be back on the soap early next year after her character Nicola Rubinstein left in June.
She said: "It's my first day back on the set of Corrie. I'm so excited to be back. I've missed you all.
"It's been a long time now since Phelan's reign of terror, but I hope you're all looking forward to what Nicola's going to get up to in January when she's back on screens."
It's been reported that the cast and crew are all excited for Nicola to make her return.
An insider recently said: "Everyone is thrilled Nicola is coming back. She was always really popular on set and has so many friends in the cast.
"Producers think it is the perfect time to bring her character back. Nicola jumped at the chance to do more.
"She loved her first year on Corrie and wants to stay part of the family... The hope is for Nicola to keep coming and going so her storylines continue to be exciting."
