Philippa Lowthorpe is an award winning film and TV director. She became the first woman to win a BAFTA for Best Director at the BAFTA Television Craft Awards in 2013.

She was awarded her second directing BAFTA for Three Girls, the highly acclaimed Television Series in 2018. She is still the only woman ever to have won this award.

Philippa was born in Yorkshire and grew up in Lincolnshire. She began as a documentary maker and later moved into drama.
