Born on November 26th 1963 Mark Sheals played professional Rugby League as a prop forward for Swinton, Leigh, Oldham and Wakefield Trinity and won representative honors with Wales.
He made his break into acting while selling sportswear and being asked to provide tracksuits for "Rise of the Foot Soldier". He was invited to the set and found himself asked to appear in a fight scene between West Ham and Millwall fans.
Consequently he enrolled on the two year course at the Manchester School of Drama and has since appeared in several television dramas.
