Michael Schantz was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he attended Chestnut Hill Academy.
He studied Theater Arts at Rollins College, developed his appreciation and understanding of theater and acting as an apprentice at Actors Theater of Louisville, before earning his MFA in Acting from NYU's Graduate Acting Program at Tisch School of the Arts.
