A native of Vienna, Austria, Roland Kickinger began strength training and martial art at age 14. He cleaned the gym at night in exchange for a membership.
However, Kickinger's dreams were far away in a place called Hollywood. With little encouragement from his family and friends, he packed up his life into 2 suitcases and set off to Santa Monica.
His first big break came when he met his mentor Joe Weider. This led to an lifetime friendship and business relationship.
