Alex Hafner was born in Vienna, Austria. His Italian father is an engineer, his Spanish mother an economist. He also has a sister, Sofia. During his childhood his family moved between Madrid, Vienna and Singapore before moving to California where he attended the Hawthorne School.
Alex holds a masters degree from USC.
