Roy Beck was born in England as Roy Jonathan Beck.
He has an exuberant family film heritage and formally trained at Rank Film Laboratories at Denham before moving into post-production, editing in London and Toronto in the 70s and 80s.
He went on to head up many of Soho's leading post-production houses. He has been married to TV Producer Nickie Stevens since September 25, 1987. They have three children, all of whom have successful careers in TV production and post-production.
