Former Cabinet minister Michael Gove has reportedly split from French academic Dr Lola Salem after two years together
The couple first appeared publicly at The Spectator’s summer party in 2024, when Gove was photographed sheltering Salem from the rain
They later shared a west London flat, but Gove has since moved out
The relationship is said to have ended some time ago, with neither party commenting on the reasons
Gove, 59, became editor of The Spectator after stepping down as an MP, while Salem holds degrees from Paris and a doctorate from Oxford.
