Josh Francis will not appear in the 39th series of *The Only Way Is Essex* after producers decided to rest him
The 25-year-old bricklayer joined the ITV reality show earlier this year, appearing in the Vietnam-filmed 37th series alongside TikTok twins Jonnie Gurie and Joe Gurie
Francis reportedly completed his initial two-series contract and was informed of the decision during a meeting with executives
He had also attracted interest from *Love Island* and other programmes, although his TOWIE deal prevented a move
His departure comes amid reports of a wider cast shake-up.
