Paul Hollywood has revealed he is preparing for surgery on both hands after living with severe carpal tunnel syndrome for around 12 years
The Great British Bake Off judge said years of working with dough have contributed to the problem, which occasionally flares up and requires a wrist brace
He also aggravated the condition while testing a race car, injuring his hand as the steering wheel spun
The news comes as the latest Bake Off series introduces Nigella Lawson as his new judging partner, with viewers largely welcoming the change.
