Former Coronation Street actress Tracy Shaw has shared an encouraging update during her breast cancer treatment
The 53-year-old, known for playing Maxine Peacock in the ITV soap, revealed that surgeons had removed her tumours following her latest operation
Shaw said the procedure had gone well and expressed heartfelt thanks to hospital staff, including the three surgeons and nursing team who cared for her
She also thanked followers for their messages and support
The actress was diagnosed in April and has undergone chemotherapy, after doctors initially needed the tumours to shrink before surgery could take place.
