Sharon Horgan has revealed that Liam Gallagher nearly made a cameo in BBC comedy Motherland
The Oasis frontman apparently praised the sitcom after Sharon met him backstage at a gig, later showing interest in appearing in its 2020 Christmas special
The proposed gag would have seen him stroll past a school with a group of children, though the role ultimately went to Joseph Washbourn, Toploader’s lead singer
Sharon is now starring in Youth, a comedy about a newly single woman in her fifties balancing work, family responsibilities and caring for elderly parents.
