Queen Camilla could swap royal duties for a television cameo, according to crime novelist Peter James
The author hopes she will play herself in ITV’s Roy Grace, the adaptation of his bestselling detective novels, praising her humour and lively personality
James also believes King Charles could join the drama, noting his school performances in Macbeth and Henry V
Camilla has already visited the programme’s set, making a future appearance seem a pleasingly plausible prospect
Whether she takes the role remains uncertain, but it would certainly add royal sparkle to the Brighton-based series.
