Helen Mirren has recalled an awkward yet amusing encounter with Queen Elizabeth II at Ascot in 2018
Invited for tea with the monarch and Prince Philip, the Oscar-winning actress was surprised when Elizabeth introduced her to a sheikh as the woman who had portrayed her on screen
The guest appeared unfamiliar with both Mirren and the film
Mirren also struggled to ask Philip to pass the milk, unsure how to address him properly, and eventually drank her tea without it
A thoroughly British royal dilemma.
