ITV has apologised after a morning repeat of Food Stars USA displayed two instances of Gordon Ramsay’s strongest language in its subtitles
The audio had been edited, but the captions came from an uncensored version and appeared at 8.25am, well before the 9pm watershed
Ofcom called the broadcast a clear breach, criticising ITV2 for failing to check the pre-recorded programme properly and for not issuing an immediate on-air apology
ITV2 said it has tightened scheduling checks to prevent mismatched versions being broadcast
Earlier this year, Ben Shephard apologised after Ramsay swore during a live This Morning cooking segment.
