Emily Atack backs pupils’ campaign against school uniform porn imagery

Emily Atack has backed four pupils from The Cooper School in Bicester campaigning for school uniforms to be banned from pornography

Their petition has attracted more than 40,000 signatures and highlights a loophole in forthcoming UK legislation: although material depicting adults pretending to be children under 16 will be prohibited, performers aged 16 or over can still legally wear school uniforms in adult content

The campaign has reached Parliament, with law professor Clare McGlynn warning about the sexualisation of young girls

Victims Minister Alex Davies-Jones has also praised the students’ efforts.
