Mark Chapman reportedly clashed with BBC sport director Alex Kay-Jelski before a recent Match of the Day broadcast, after questioning the programme’s choice of pundits
Chapman is said to have felt that Martin Keown was not a sufficiently prominent choice for a major Premier League weekend, amid concerns about Keown’s past professional ties with Kay-Jelski
The presenter’s relationship with fellow host Kelly Cates has reportedly failed to ease matters
Insiders fear the dispute could affect Chapman’s position, although the BBC strongly denies any falling-out between the pair.
