Su Pollard attacks warnings on classic television comedies

Su Pollard has criticised broadcasters and streaming platforms for adding content warnings to older comedy programmes

The *Hi-de-Hi!* star argued that viewers should consider period language and attitudes in their historical context, rather than being shielded from material that may now seem outdated

Her remarks come amid growing advisories on programmes including *Only Fools and Horses*, *Father Ted*, *Terry and June* and *’Allo ’Allo!*

Services including BritBox say they regularly reassess labels to give audiences suitable guidance, while Pollard believes broadcasters have become unnecessarily cautious about causing offence.
