They welcomed their daughter Gaia Wise after treatment, but later struggled emotionally when they were unable to have another child
Wise said the journey challenged their ideas of what a family should be, particularly as both had grown up with two siblings
The couple adopted their son Tindy Agaba Wise in 2003
Speaking to Elizabeth Day, Wise credited therapy with helping them rebuild their relationship.
