Channel 4 has cancelled the latest series of Married at First Sight UK after an external review followed allegations of sexual misconduct during filming
Rebecca Burgess, a Liverpool fitness instructor who spent 10 weeks on the programme, said she learned the decision through an email rather than from producers
She claims the show paired her with an unsuitable husband for entertainment value and placed her in distressing situations, including an unexpected confrontation with intoxicated contestants
Burgess also said she faced difficulties arranging a brief visit to her young daughter on Mother’s Day
The unaired series will now not be broadcast.
