Jack Bayles, comedy chief at Various Artists Limited, has been asked to step away from the company as it reviews the circumstances surrounding Russell Brand’s trial
Bayles will no longer work on the BBC sitcoms *Such Brave Girls* and *Push*
The court heard he was present during a 2009 incident involving Brand and a young staff member
Bayles said he could not remember what happened, but apologised if he failed to recognise or challenge inappropriate conduct
Brand was convicted of rape and three sexual assaults, while cleared of three other charges.
