Where Hope Lives

Rimma and Alla, a mother and a daughter, live a settled and secluded life of wealthy lonely women. Their usual world comes crashing down when Rimma finds a letter in the study of her late son Nikolay.

In that letter, a certain Raya tearfully begs Nikolay to take care of their daughter Nadezhda who she had from him twenty years ago. However, Rimma sets out for Kulichovsk to look for Nadezhda.
