During WW II, in Italy, Webster Carey, an OSS officer, and his underground sweetheart, Giulia, are betrayed to the Nazis by an unknown informer.

When Carey returns to Italy to uncover the informer who cost lives of villagers, he unexpectedly finds out that his lover is alive and connected to the traitor.
