The lion of Venice

The fall of Venice at the hands of Napoleon and its annexation to Italy, through the referendum of October 22, 1866, told through the stories of two Venetian families - the Biasin, who have been producing and trading wine across Europe for generations, and the Querini, a declining aristocratic family - amidst conflicts, revelations, and romantic entanglements.
