Hadrian tried to "consign to oblivion" the Jewish and Christian holy sites of Jerusalem. The tomb of Jesus was buried under a pagan temple. In 325 Constantine ordered the temple destroyed and men to search for the tomb. Contrary to expectations, the tomb was found and identified. But how was one out of many tombs identified as the tomb of Jesus? Lecture 1 of 2 by Dr. W. J.

Neidinger.
