The Crusades

In the end, the crusades had failed to accomplish the goal of recapturing Jerusalem and the Holy Land.

While every single one of the crusades did not count as a failure, and many achieved success in bringing parts of the Holy Land back to the Christians, not a single Crusader army was able to capture Jerusalem.

Peace was brought in the land only through the means of a truce or agreements.
