Treasures of Nature: Tatra National Park - Slovakia

The major part of the High Tatra National Park is located in Slovakia and extends to Poland.

It is a splendid mountain landscape with high, rocky mountains, many lakes and rich indigenous wildlife, was founded in 1947 and given the nickname, Crown Of Slovakia. A healthy tree population surrounds crystal clear mountain lakes and flora which came into existence at the end of the last ice age.
