Alone Among the Taliban

Iranian filmmaker Mohsen Eslamzadeh made several journeys to Afghanistan in order to get a privileged grant of permission to film the Taliban, something violently denied of most others.

He witnesses shocking scenes and visits jails, Islamic State courts, meetings and council authorities all under the flimsy protection of his undercover status, as he tries to survive alone among the Taliban.
