Copland - Fanfare for the Common Man

Mexican conductor Carlos Miguel Prieto leads the Orquesta Sinfónica de Minería in a performance of Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man (1942).

The composer wrote his famous three-minute piece, that is scored for brass and percussion, to honor ‘everyday people’ that were involved in World War II.

This performance was recorded at Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, in 2021.
