The Plaths are a strikingly blonde, blue-eyed Quiverfull family with 9 children in Southeastern Georgia, who are very passionate about traditional roles, their courtship rituals, music, God, and domestic life.
In order to avoid more tension in the family, Kim allows Moriah to go to San Francisco with Olivia. From the moment they land Moriah quickly realizes she's a long way from south Georgia. Ethan finds creative ways to pass the time while Olivia is gone.
After the request for Isaac to join the band is denied by Barry and Kim, the family divide grows. Kim and Barry try to do damage control by extending a large and surprising olive branch to Ethan and Olivia. Moriah shares her desire to go to college.
