A mysterious but pretty transfer student, Sento Isuzu, asks Kanie Seiya out on a date to an amusement park. That park is Amagi Brilliant Park, featuring worn-down attractions and lackluster service -- the worst in Japan.
Seiya Kanie -- handsome, scholastically successful and athletic, self-confessed narcissist Kanie Seiya is befuddled. His classmate, Isuzu Sento, gives him a musket and asks him out on a date.
Amagi Brilliant Park is operated by the residents of magic nation of Maple Land. It seems like a fantasy, but having been given the ability to hear people's minds by its owner, Queen Latifah, Seiya has no choice but to believe it.
Circumstances and impulse bring Seiya in the position to become the acting owner. He proposes reforms in order to meet the goal of attracting 250,000 visitors within three months, but the crew is full of complaints.
Though arrogant, Seiya solves problem after problem at the park. Isuzu should be happy about it, but something bothers her.
With the 30-yen offer, the number of visitors slowly improves, but money is still an issue. In an attempt to find quick cash, Seiya visits Moffle, and they set off to search for a supposed treasure hidden in a cave.
Isuzu has mixed feelings about Seiya's expert handling of the issues at the park, even having nightmares about her own work. Meanwhile, in an effort to resolve the labor shortage, she begins interviewing potential hires.
