On Halloween night in Ashbourne Falls, Harold runs into Yobo, a former classmate who once bullied him, while handing out candy—stirring buried childhood trauma. Elsewhere, Mabel’s car breaks down on a remote road, igniting a fury rooted in long-repressed memories of abandonment.
Harold cares for his mother, Hilda, who suffers from dementia.
